Stephanie Platz

MD, Programs at MacArthur Foundation

Stephanie Platz is the current MD of Programs at the MacArthur Foundation. Stephanie has extensive experience in human capital management, having served as Human Capital Director at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency from January 2017 to December 2019, and as Strategic Human Capital Leader at the Central Intelligence Agency from January 2008 to December 2016. Stephanie also held the position of Human Capital Deputy Director at the Office of Management and Budget from January 2006 to December 2008. In this role, they led the development of a structured training program for national security professionals based on Executive Order 13434: National Security Professional Development.

Stephanie Platz attended Boston College for their undergraduate degree, where they earned a BS in Biology and Psychology. Stephanie then attended Louisiana State University for their PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Lastly, they attended The University of Texas at El Paso for their MS in Psychology.

They work with Debra Schwartz - Managing Director, Kole A. Shettima - Co-Director, On Nigeria & Director, Nigeria Office, and Chris J. Andreen - Director, Development & Enterprise Architect. Stephanie Platz reports to John Palfrey, President.
