Stephen Smith

Stephen Smith is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles within the finance sector. Currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Macdonald Hotels & Resorts since July 2025, Stephen has previously held significant positions including Group Finance Director at John G Russell (Transport) Ltd, Chief Financial Officer at Arjowiggins, Finance Director at Scott Pallets Inc, and Head of Finance at Babcock International Group. Stephen began the career as a Financial Accountant at Russell Europe and progressed to Finance Manager at UPM-Kymmene Oyj. An alumnus of Caledonian University, Stephen holds a CIMA degree in Accountancy, complementing a solid educational foundation established at St Modans.
