Bennet Nguyen has a diverse work experience. Bennet currently works as an Energy Engineer at MacDonald-Miller Facility Solutions since July 2023. Prior to this, Bennet worked as an Energy Engineering Intern at the same company from June 2022 to September 2022.
In 2021, Bennet had two positions. Bennet was part of the Cutterhead & Material Removal Subteam at Washington Hyperloop, where they collaborated with an engineering team to design and build a Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM). Bennet specifically worked on designing the bearing and gear system for the rotation of the cutterhead.
Bennet was also part of the Propulsion Subteam at the Human Powered Submarine Team at the University of Washington. Bennet collaborated with the team to design and build a human-powered submarine for competition in the European International Submarine Race (eISR). Bennet's responsibilities included modeling and manufacturing parts for the propulsion subsystem.
In 2021, Bennet also gained experience as an R&D Engineer Intern - Data Science at Attune (formerly Senseware). Bennet worked on data science projects during their internship from June 2021 to August 2021.
Bennet's earliest work experience was as a Team Lead at WOOF3D from September 2020 to June 2021.
Overall, Bennet has a strong background in engineering, with experience in energy, tunneling, and submarine propulsion systems.
Bennet Nguyen completed their high school education at Foster Senior High School from 2015 to 2019, earning a High School Diploma. Bennet then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Washington from 2019 to 2023. On their educational journey, Bennet also obtained relevant certifications, including an Engineer In Training certification from the State of Washington in January 2023, and a Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA) certification from Dassault Systèmes in January 2021.
