Steve Barker

Steve Barker has extensive work experience in facility management and loss prevention. Steve started their career at Nordstrom, where they managed security and safety operations. Steve then moved on to Marchex, Inc as the Director of Facilities, overseeing facility operations. At Community Health Plan, Avvo, and McKinstry, they served as a Facilities Manager, responsible for managing daily operations at various locations. Steve also worked as a Management Consultant at Rainier Seeds, where they partnered with a team for marketing and sales planning. Currently, they are working as a Facilities Manager at MacDonald-Miller Facility Solutions. Throughout their career, they have developed job descriptions, implemented reporting structures, and participated in tenant improvements.

Steve Barker obtained an Associate of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Shoreline Community College, where they studied from 1983 to 1986. In addition to their formal education, Steve has also pursued several certifications throughout their career. In 2001, they obtained the Lenel OnGuard System Admin certification from Lenel. Three years later, in 2004, they received the Executive Protection certification from ASIS International. In 2017, they obtained the Agile Project Management Foundations certification from Lynda.com. More recently, in 2021, they completed the course "Guy Kawasaki on Turning Life Wisdom into Business Success" offered by LinkedIn.
