Paulo Canelas

Paulo Canelas is a seasoned professional in health and safety management with extensive experience across various organizations in the construction sector. Since June 2022, Paulo has served as the Business Unit Lead for Health and Safety at Mace. Prior to this, Paulo held the position of Head of Health & Safety at Berkeley Homes (Capital) PLC from February 2020 to June 2022 and St James Group Limited from October 2009 to February 2020, where responsibilities included advising and supporting on all aspects of health and safety. Earlier in the career, Paulo was the Group Safety Manager at Wates from July 2000 to July 2009 and Regional Safety Manager at Mansell plc from April 1989 to July 2000, providing guidance on health and safety matters. Paulo's educational background includes training at Safety Solutions (UK) Limited and Brooklands School of Management.
