Bill Albert

Svp, Global Head Of CX at Mach49

Bill Albert, PhD has extensive work experience in the field of user experience and research. Bill is currently serving as the SVP, Global Head of CX at Mach49 since February 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Faculty Partner at Mach49 from September 2021 to January 2022.

Before joining Mach49, Bill served as the Executive Director of the Bentley University User Experience Center from February 2009 to January 2022. Bill was also an Adjunct Professor in the Human Factors in Information Design Graduate Program at Bentley University from January 2008 to June 2021.

Bill has also held positions at Fidelity Investments as the Director of User Experience from July 2002 to February 2009. Prior to that, they worked at Lycos as a Sr. User Interface Researcher from 1999 to 2002, and at Nissan Cambridge Basic Research as a Post Doc from 1998 to 1999.

In addition to their professional roles, Bill Albert has also served as the Co-Editor in Chief for the Journal of User Experience since April 2013.

Dr. Bill Albert earned their Bachelor of Arts in Geography from the University of Washington in 1988. Bill then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Geography with a focus on Geographic Information Systems at the same institution from 1988 to 1990. Later, they attended Boston University, where they obtained their Ph.D. in Geography with a specialization in Spatial Cognition from 1993 to 1998.
