Tim Chong Sphr

Tim Chong, SPHR, SHRM-SCP has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Tim most recently served as the People Director at Mach49, where they implemented operational changes to enhance the performance of the Talent and People team. Prior to that, Tim was a Senior People Business Partner at Enel North America, providing effective HR leadership for multiple business lines. Tim also worked at Cox Automotive Inc. as a Human Resources Business Partner, where they led the HR function and supported senior executives in transforming the automotive marketplace. Tim has also held positions at InterContinental Mark Hopkins as a Training & Human Resources Manager and at Hyatt Hotels Corporation, where they served as an Employee Relations Manager. Additionally, they have experience in sales as a Sales Professional at Nordstrom. Overall, Tim has a strong background in HR leadership and strategic partnering, and has successfully implemented various initiatives to drive organizational growth and employee satisfaction throughout their career.

Tim Chong, SPHR, SHRM-SCP obtained a BS degree in Business Administration & Human Resources Management from California State University, Chico. Prior to that, Tim attended Aragon High School. In addition to their education, Tim has obtained several certifications including the Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) from SHRM in January 2015 and the Transformational DEI Certified from the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce in July 2020. Tim is also pursuing the Senior Professional in Human Resources® (SPHR®) Certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI.
