Jihyun Moon has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. In 2009, Moon began their career as a Postdoc at UC Berkeley, where they worked until 2012. They then took on another Postdoc position at UC Berkeley from 2009 to 2010. In 2013, Moon joined Glowing Plant as a Senior Scientist and remained in that role until 2017. Following that, from 2015 to 2017, Moon served as the CSO at TAXA. In 2017, Moon joined Machaon Diagnostics as a Clinical Research Scientist and later progressed to the role of Senior Clinical Research Scientist in 2021. Currently, Moon holds the position of Associate Director of Genetic Innovation at Machaon Diagnostics, starting in May 2022.
Jihyun Moon completed a Data Analytics Certificate from the University of California, Berkeley in the year 2020. Prior to that, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Plant Molecular Biology from the same institution, which they completed between the years 2004 and 2009. Before their Ph.D., Moon obtained a Master's degree in Plant Molecular Biology from Seoul National University from 2001 to 2003. Their educational journey began with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biology/Biological Sciences, General, which they earned from Seoul National University from 1996 to 2001.
