Greg Hegarty has worked in a variety of roles since 2004. In 2015, they began working at machineLOGIC as the Director of Client Services, Account Manager, and Service Delivery Coordinator. In this role, they managed a service desk technician team and was responsible for service dispatch and coordination. Prior to this, they worked at Buena Vista Regional Medical Center as a Fitness Specialist from 2011-2015. From 2010-2011, they worked at C2 Development Inc. as an Office Manager, where they managed a team of 4-7 employees and administered business operations. Before this, they worked at Opencom Inc. from 2004-2010 as a Customer Service Manager and ISP Technician, providing technical/procedural support for over 5,000 customers in middle-Iowa and setting up and designing home and small office networks.

Greg Hegarty attended Iowa Central Community College from 2013 to 2015, where they earned a Computer Networking Technology (CNTB.AAS) degree in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications. Greg also attended the National Personal Training Institute of Colorado in 2008, where they received a Theory & Practice of Personal Training in Personal Training. Additionally, Hegarty obtained a NSCA-CPT certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) in December 2008.
