Alain Rossmann has had a long and successful career in the tech industry. Alain began their career in 1983 as the Head Evangelist at Apple Computer. In 1986, they founded and became the VP of Marketing and Sales at Radius, which went public in 1990. In 1989, they became the VP of Operations at C-Cube Microsystems. In 1992, they became the CEO of EO, which was acquired by AT&T in 1993. In 1994, they founded and became the CEO of Unwired Planet (now Openwave), which went public in 1999. In 2001, they founded and became the CEO and then Chairman of PSS Systems. In 2005, they founded and became the CEO of Vudu, which was acquired by Walmart. In 2006, they founded and became the Chairman of Zonbu. Finally, in 2015, they founded and became the Chairman of Machinify.
Alain Rossmann attended Lycée Louis-le-Grand from 1974 to 1976, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. Alain then attended École Polytechnique from 1976 to 1979, where they earned a BS in Math & Physics. Following that, they attended École des Ponts ParisTech from 1979 to 1981, where they earned an MS in Civil Engineering. Finally, they attended Stanford University Graduate School of Business from 1981 to 1983, where they earned an MBA.
