Andrea Hallett

VP Investments Asset Allocation Team at Mackenzie Investments

Andrea Hallett CFA has a strong and extensive work experience in the financial industry. From 2002 to present, Andrea worked as the VP of Investments - Asset Allocation Team at Mackenzie Investments. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing and implementing Mackenzie's managed asset program, Symmetry, which had over $6 billion in assets. Andrea ensured proper representation of strategic and tactical asset allocation views across portfolios and evaluated active managers and their mandates. Andrea also provided risk management oversight, managed daily cash implementation and rebalancing activities, and conducted portfolio attribution analysis. Andrea frequently collaborated with product and marketing teams on presentations and collateral.

Prior to their role at Mackenzie Investments, Andrea worked as the Manager of Structured Funds at Spectrum Investments from 1997 to 2002. Before that, they served as a Research Assistant at Richardson GMP (formerly Griffiths McBurney & Partners) in 1996 and as a Client Service Administrator at BPI Capital Management in 1995.

Andrea Hallett CFA completed their Bachelor's Degree in Honours, Bachelor of Commerce with an emphasis in Finance at McMaster University from 1991 to 1995. Andrea obtained their Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder designation from the CFA Institute in May 2000. In 2002, they became registered as an Advising Officer for Commodities and Securities with the Ontario Securities Commission. Additionally, in January 2003, they completed the Derivatives Fundamentals Course and Futures Licensing Course at the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI).
