Esmai Manahan

Director, Aboriginal Service Development at MacKillop Family Services

Esmai is a proud Yorta Yorta woman, raised in a politically active family that that still remains passionate about making positive change for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Esmai is trauma and family therapy trained and is responsible at MacKillop for the oversight of cultural safety, self-determination and reconciliation including advocating for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people, and families, particularly the most vulnerable in the areas of child protection and out of home care. She also has oversight of the development and implementation of the MacKillop Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). Esmai has spent many years working in key roles in the Aboriginal community sector and State Government.
