Optical Engineer - Team Lead (meta) at Mackin Talent

Hunter Herrin started their work experience as a Quantum Physics Lab Developer at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo in September 2014. From August 2017 to March 2018, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the same institution. In April 2020, they joined Microsoft as a Hardware Test Engineer, responsible for coordinating meetings, maintaining information flow, and verifying/debugging software and hardware. From January 2021 to August 2021, they worked at OPTOFIDELITY as an Optical Metrology Engineer, where they led a team of three engineers, prioritized workflow, and designed metrology systems. They then became a Team Lead (Meta) at Mackin Talent in October 2022, leading a group of 15 engineers in AR Research and focusing on system metrology and closed-loop analysis infrastructure. They also worked as an Opto-electronic Display Engineer at Microsoft from February 2022 to October 2022.

Hunter Herrin received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo in 2018. They then pursued a Master of Science degree in Physics at the University of Washington from 2020 to 2022. Prior to their university education, they attended Cascadia College from 2011 to 2013 and Woodinville High School from 2010 to 2013. Hunter Herrin also obtained additional certifications in various fields, including Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, and Python programming.
