Lukas Dekker

Lukas Dekker has extensive experience in automation and autonomy within the engineering field, currently serving as Team Lead - Autonomy at MacLean Engineering since May 2018. Previous roles at MacLean include Product Engineering Specialist - Automation and Electrical Designer. At Queen's University, Lukas worked as a Graduate Researcher in the Mining Systems Laboratory, focusing on research related to path following and control algorithms for mobile robotic vehicles, and served as a Teaching Assistant. A Visiting Researcher position at Epiroc involved the development of control algorithms for autonomous mining equipment in a real mine setting. Lukas holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering/Mechanical Option, both from Queen's University.
