James Stebbings

James Stebbings is an experienced professional in legacy administration and charitable income management. Currently serving as Chair of the Institute of Legacy Management since July 2021, James oversees a professional body representing 600 members from 350 charities. In addition, James has been the Head of Legacy Income at Macmillan Cancer Support since August 2012, leading a team responsible for administering £85 million in legacies annually while ensuring compliance with Charity Commission regulations and enhancing customer experience. Prior roles include Senior Legacy Case Manager at the Institute of Legacy Management, Legacy Officer at Cancer Research UK, and Probate Estate Officer at the London Borough of Camden. James holds a Master's Degree and Bachelor's Degree in Law from The College of Law and a BA in Business Economics from the University of Leeds.
