Ivan Taurisano

Ivan Taurisano is an accomplished editorial professional with a focus on children's literature. Currently serving as an Associate Editor for First Second Books at Macmillan since September 2025, Taurisano previously held the position of Associate Editor in Entertainment Publishing and Content Development for Children's at ABRAMS from May 2024 to August 2025. Prior experiences include roles as Assistant Editor and Editorial Assistant in Children's at Sourcebooks from May 2022 to March 2024. An educator as well, Taurisano was a Teaching Assistant and Adjunct Instructor at Simmons University, where Taurisano also served as a Dean's Fellow in Children's Literature. Ivan Taurisano holds a Master's degree and a Master of Fine Arts in Children's and Adolescent Literature from Simmons University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from John Jay College (CUNY) and an Associate of Science in Criminal Justice from LaGuardia Community College.
