Emergency Medicine Medical Director at MacNeal Hospital

Diana Goodwine, MD, RDMS has a diverse work experience primarily in the field of emergency medicine. Diana started their career as an Emergency Medicine Resident Physician at Advocate Christ Medical Center in June 2007 and continued in this role until May 2010. From July 2007 to May 2012, they also held the position of EM Resident, Ultrasound Fellow, and Attending at Advocate Health Care.

In May 2011, Dr. Goodwine began working as an Emergency Medicine Physician at MacNeal Hospital, where they remained until September 2013. During their time at MacNeal Hospital, they also served as the ED Medical Director, starting in August 2017.

In July 2014, Dr. Goodwine took on the role of a Correctional Medicine Physician at Maguire Correctional Facility, specializing in healthcare for incarcerated individuals. Diana also concurrently worked as an Emergency Medicine Physician at Marin General Hospital from April 2014 to April 2016.

In April 2016, Dr. Goodwine joined Vituity as an Emergency Medicine Physician and continued in this capacity until May 2021. During their tenure at Vituity, they also held roles as the Vituity Clinical Education Chair and served as the ED Medical Director for MacNeal Hospital. In their most recent position at Vituity, they served as the Director of Quality and Performance for Clinical Education.

Dr. Goodwine's extensive experience and diverse roles demonstrate their commitment to emergency medicine and their continuous growth and involvement in various leadership and educational positions throughout their career.

Diana Goodwine, MD, RDMS received their Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Armstrong State University in 2007. During this time, they also attended the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University, where they obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. Diana went on to complete their residency in Emergency Medicine at Advocate Christ Medical Center from 2007 to 2010, earning a degree in Emergency Medicine Residency. Following their residency, they pursued a US fellowship in which they specialized in ultrasound at Advocate Christ Medical Center from 2010 to 2011.

In terms of additional certifications, Dr. Goodwine became a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in May 2012. In December 2011, they obtained board certification as an Emergency Medicine Physician from the American Board of Emergency Medicine.
