Rachel Smith has a diverse work experience in the field of Human Resources and Strategy. Rachel most recently held the role of Group Head of People & Culture at Macquarie Technology Group. Prior to that, they worked as a Consultant in HR & Strategy as a self-employed individual. Rachel also served as the General Manager of People & Culture at Manawanui Incharge. In addition, Rachel held management positions at Coal Services Pty Limited and EML (Employers Mutual Limited), where they were responsible for strategy, people, and HR. Rachel began their career as an HR Officer at Entertainment UK (EUK) and later worked as an HR Advisor at the Science Museum.

Rachel Smith completed their education with a Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree in Accountancy with Law from the University of East Anglia, which they obtained from 1997 to 2000. Rachel pursued further studies at the University of Westminster, where they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Personnel & Development from 2003 to 2005. Rachel later attended Macquarie Business School, where they completed their Master of Business Administration degree from 2011 to 2016.
