Pierre Tshiaba

Pierre Kasongo Tshiaba has more than 12 years of experience working with governments, NGOs, and donor agencies in Democratic Republic of Congo, Nepal, Ethiopia, and Pakistan. With expertise in software development, Pierre is passionate about developing and implementing open source solutions for digital health systems, and has provided technical support on innovative tools such as DHIS2, iHRIS, RapidPro, and WISN.

Prior to joining Macro-Eyes, Pierre worked as Regional Health Software Engineer at Intrahealth Inc where he was core developer of iHRIS V, an integrated health human resource management system which is based on FHIR technology for data storage. Pierre’s keen interest in system data sharing led him to set up middleware to ensure interoperability between HIV program implementers, DHIS2 instances and the PEPFAR DATIM platform. This solution has been standardized and adopted by various health system partners to facilitate and improve quarterly, semi-quarterly and annual healthcare reporting.
