Michael Juriga

Systems Analyst II - UX Designer supporting the FDIC at Macro Solutions

Michael Juriga has worked in the UX/UI design field since 2009, when they began providing freelance services through their own business, jurigadesign.com. In 2012, they were hired as a freelance Interactive Art Director by RTCRM, where they helped launch Pfizer's newly FDA approved drug XELJANZ. In 2013, they were asked back by the International Monetary Fund to work offsite on a number of interactive webpages. The following year, they worked as a Senior Graphics and Web Designer for NASA. In 2015, they were asked back by the IMF to create HTML powered by robust CSS and JavaScript for smooth operation across desktop, iPad, and mobile experiences. In 2016, they were hired as a freelance Senior UX Designer by ICANotes LLC to help reorganize and redesign their EHR software. In 2018, they provided UX/UI design, art direction, and marketing services to Indie Party on a whirlwind timeline of less than a month. In 2019, they began working as a Systems Analyst II - UX Designer for Macro Solutions, supporting the FDIC with UX Design thinking and solutions to improve their public facing, data driven offerings.

Michael Juriga attended Syracuse University from 1987 to 1991, where they earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration. In 2017, they completed a 40-hour Introduction to UX course at General Assembly in the field of User Experience Design.
