Position Summary: 

We are looking for a sales engineer who can combine technical knowledge with sales skills to provide solutions and support to our customers. The sales engineer will work closely with the sales team to identify and understand the customer's needs, demonstrate the features and benefits of our products, and provide technical assistance throughout the sales process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, excellent communication and presentation skills, and a customer-oriented attitude. 

Key Relationships: Payer Sales, Health Market Partners, Solution Engineering, Marketing, Activation and Operations 

Key Accountabilities:  

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand the customer's requirements and propose the best solution, taking into account network configuration, benefit design, payment integrity and other ancillary services. 
  • Support sales executives with solution selling into prospects 
  • Partner with sales executives to plan, prepare and execute on strategic deals in complex sales cycles 
  • Participate and support the data discovery process and deliverables, including data request and interviews 
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations that explain the features and benefits of our products and services in a streamlined and understandable manner 
  • Model financial business case for each sales opportunity 
  • Conduct customer maturity assessment to understand current state and future state, including gaps and mitigation solutions 
  • Create customer roadmap to inform Customer Experience of future needs and the timeline to achieve 
  • Develop MSA exhibits including solution specific documents for network solution scoping, configuration requirements and Intelligent Health Market Phasing 
  • Respond to customer inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner. 
  • Develop and maintain technical knowledge of our products and industry trends.
  • Create and update sales materials, manuals, and documentation.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to the product development team based on customer feedback and market needs.  

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Utilize PowerBI to run analysis 
  • Utilize Excel and Salesforce for reporting and analysis 
  • Project management and attention to detail for long sales cycles 
  • Understand and engage in complex, solution selling 
  • Understand and engage in operational excellence practices, standardization and process development and compliance 
  • Multi-team collaboration with a variety of internal stakeholders 
  • Project confidence and competence with prospects 
  • Knowledge of payer and/or third-party administrator burning platforms, risks and issues 
  • Experience working with payers and/or third-party administrators required  

 

Required Education and Experience:  

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field. 
  • Proven experience as a sales engineer or a similar role in healthcare technology.
  • US Healthcare payer knowledge required.  
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of our products and services. 
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a simple and clear way. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Willingness to travel to meet customers and attend trade shows and events.

Location: Fully remote within the US 

Travel: up to 20% 

Salary: $115,000 - $130,000 plus bonus, equity and 401k
