Corey Layton is the current Principal Architect at MacStadium, and has been with the company for 10 years and 8 months. Prior to their current position, Layton held various positions at MacStadium, including Principal Network Architect, Director of Network Engineering, and Network Engineer.

Corey also created and executed solutions for unique problems under budget and on schedule.

Layton then became a Senior Network Engineer at DirecPath LLC, where they were responsible for the installation, configuration, and migration of the DOCSIS network to Cisco Broadband Access Center 4. Corey also led the deployment of all DOCSIS systems throughout the network, assisted with the support and management of servers running various operating systems, and provided out-of-the-box solutions to real world problems.

Throughout their career, Layton has participated in core network planning, design, deployment, and maintenance between all 8 main geographically diverse backbone sites. Corey has also managed circuit cross connects in all facilities and led the deployment of various cost-saving technologies.

Corey Layton attended Southern Polytechnic State University from 2000 to 2010, where they studied Information Technology. Corey was a member of Sigma Pi and The Sting, and served as a representative in the Student Government Association. Layton graduated Cum Laude and earned multiple recognitions on the Dean's List and Dean's Merit List. Corey also holds a Cisco Certified Network Associate certification from Cisco Career Certifications.
