Jonas Burm

Innovation & Design Director - Sustainable Consumption at Made Design & Innovation

Jonas Burm has worked in the field of design and innovation since 2011, beginning with their role as Innovation & Design Director - Sustainable Consumption at Made Design & Innovation. Jonas then took on the role of Team Lead Strategy and Product Designer at the same company. Prior to this, they completed an internship at MaDe in 2010, and another internship at Center for Development Belux at BMW Group in the same year. In 2008, they worked a summer job at Sims Recycling Solutions.

Jonas Burm attended Atheneum Sint-Niklaas from 2000 to 2006, where they obtained a High school degree in Latin and Math. From 2006 to 2011, they attended Artesis and obtained a Master degree in Industrial Product Design. In 2014, they attended Design Thinkers Academy Amsterdam for Service Design and VOKA & Flanders Inshape for Service Design - Customer Journey Mapping. In 2015 to 2016, they attended Thomas More University of Applied Sciences and obtained a Postgraduaat Ondernemerschap en Innovatie degree. In 2020, they attended Vlerick Business School for Take the Lead: Digital Transformation Leadership. Currently, they are attending Stanford University for a degree in Stanford school of earth, energy and environmental sciences with a focus in Strategies for Sustainability - Put theory into practice. Jonas is expected to graduate in 2021 and will continue on to the University of Cambridge for a degree in Business Sustainability Management in 2022.
