ALEX HANEY

Alex Haney is a Senior Engagement Manager at Craft. Alex has over fifteen years of experience in the digital media industry, with a focus on project management, creative direction, and user experience design.

Alex began their career in 1997 as the founder, editor, and publisher of Decontrol Magazine, an independent music and culture publication. In 2001, they transitioned to web design and became the Art Director / Experience Designer for Karmaloop, an e-commerce platform for streetwear and skatewear. Alex was with Karmaloop for seven years, during which time they also founded Decontrol Media, a creative agency that produced digital content for brands like Nike, Adidas, and Puma.

In 2008, Alex left Karmaloop to join Microsoft as a Technical Support Engineer for Atlas Advertiser & Publisher Solutions. Alex left Microsoft in 2010 to join Karmaloop as Director of Creative Services. Alex was with Karmaloop until 2015, when they joined Echo & Co. as a Digital Project Manager.

In 2016, Alex left Echo & Co. to join Converse as a Creative Producer - Site Experience. Alex was with Converse for one year before being promoted to Digital Experience Producer - North America. Alex left Converse in 2018 to join Mad*Pow as a Sr. Project Manager. Alex is currently with Craft as a Senior Engagement Manager.

Alex Haney's educational career began at Brookline High School. They then went on to study media arts / mass communications at Emerson College, where they earned their bachelor's degree.
