Roderick Brown has a long and impressive career in business. Roderick began in 1975, founding ARB Woodproducts at 21 years old. In 1979, they joined Jack Nadel International as an Account Executive, where they recruited and trained sales representatives. In 1987, they moved to Idea Man, Inc. as Regional Manager. In 1989, they founded The Harwood Company and served as CEO for 10 years before selling to a start up Venture Capital backed company in 2000. Roderick then left that firm in 2001 and orchestrated a buy back in 2003, creating MadeToOrder, Inc. where they served as Retired Founder Managing Director until their retirement. In addition to their business experience, Roderick Brown has also served on a number of boards and committees, including the Board of Directors for Piedmont Council - Boy Scouts of America, the Board of Directors for Piedmont High School Athletic Boosters, the Board of Trustees for Piedmont Community Church, and the Board of Directors for PPAI, where they were elected Vice Chair of Financial Services for 2012 and 2013.

Roderick Brown attended the College of Marin from 1980 to 1984, where they earned an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts.
