SOUTH COAST PLAZE FULL-TIME SEASONAL STORE MANAGER Madhappy is a Los Angeles-based clothing brand made for a community of optimists, born in 2017. Madhappy uses apparel, events, and experimental retail spaces – including its permanent flagship in West Hollywood – to explore a personal expression as a means to an improved state of mind. Its own seasonal stores – with past and present locations including New York City (Soho), Aspen, Miami, the Hamptons, and Tokyo – are each designed to reflect their site, while still sharing the brand’s DNA. The brand currently produces a selection of ever-evolving, evergreen classic styles, seasonally available collections and collaborations. Madhappy supports research and awareness in mental health through The Madhappy Foundation (a 501c(3) non-profit) and writes Local Optimist, a print magazine. Each to celebrate us as works-in-progress, and the personal and collective expression that is a part of that.

About the job We are looking to hire a full-time, seasonal Retail Store Manager for Madhappy South Coast Plaza.

In this position, you will be responsible for leading the charge on Madhappy's physical presence through our retail pop-up. The Store Manager will oversee all day-to-day operations and people management for the duration of the pop-up. This position will report directly to the Retail Operations Manager.

This role will be expected to work at our location opening in South Coast Plaza.

We anticipate the location will be open in the month of September and close in the month of January. We will be needing this role for only that time.

Responsibilities ●      Own and manage all aspects of the day-to-day retail operations - including inventory management, scheduling, staffing, cleanliness, coaching, development, and more ●      Learn and develop a true understanding of the Madhappy brand and customer base ●      Be the critical bridge between HQ plans, vision, and decisions and the pop-up ●      Help recruit, coach, and empower the location staff ●      Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless flow of retail operations - Supply Chain, Customer Experience, Merchandising ●      Work with your team to report on results and find new efficiencies ●      Analyze key performance metrics and provide guidance for your store to achieve market goals and profitability targets

About you Qualifications ●      2+ years of previous retail management or supervisor experience ●      Familiarity with Shopify preferred ●      Must have open and full availability for term of pop-up ●      Proven comfort in fast-paced experience is necessary
