Laurie Mercurio

Laurie Mercurio serves as the Corporate Communications Manager at Madison Gas and Electric since August 2023. Previously, Laurie acted as the Public Information Officer for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources from September 2022 to May 2023 and worked as the Communications & Event Specialist for the Waunakee Area Chamber of Commerce between May 2021 and September 2022. Laurie has extensive experience in communications, including roles as Communications Director for the Wisconsin Housing Alliance from August 2015 to May 2020 and various meteorological positions in broadcasting from 1999 to 2014, which involved delivering weather reports, managing crises, and educating the public. Laurie earned a Bachelor's Degree in Meteorology with a Minor in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Oklahoma.
