Genevieve Deeken

Genevieve Deeken is a Clinical Research Coordinator for the UVA Comprehensive Cancer Center's GU team, a position held since August 2024. In addition to this role, Genevieve serves as a Volunteer Researcher and Data Abstractor for the World Health Organization, focusing on gender and equity in digital health, and has contributed to a published project report. As a Research Assistant at the Center for Advanced Study of Teaching and Learning, Genevieve is involved in research on adverse childhood experiences with work presented at notable conferences. Genevieve also holds editorial responsibilities on the Executive Editorial Board for the Journal of Medical and Surgical Errors and is conducting research on AI-assisted emergency surgery as a Research Assistant for the World Society of Emergency Surgery. Additional community involvement includes volunteering as a community tutor and serving as a fitness instructor at Formula Complete Fitness. Genevieve's academic background includes a Master's of Science in Public Health from Université Paris Cité and a BA in Global Public Health from the University of Virginia.
