John O'Keefe

John O'Keefe, CPA has a diverse work experience in the field of finance and accounting. John currently serves as the Vice President, Controller at Madison International Realty since March 2023. Prior to this role, they held the position of Fund Controller at the same company from December 2019 to June 2023.

Before joining Madison International Realty, John worked at Tristan Capital Partners as a Director from July 2019 to November 2019. Prior to this, they served as an Associate Director, Fund Finance from October 2018 to July 2019.

John also gained valuable experience at DRA Advisors, where they held various roles. John worked as a Portfolio Manager from March 2017 to July 2017, a Portfolio Analyst from June 2016 to February 2017, a Senior Property Analyst from June 2014 to May 2016, and a Property Analyst from June 2012 to May 2014.

At the beginning of their career, John worked at Mazars USA LLP as a Senior Financial Auditor from August 2011 to May 2012, and as a Staff Financial Auditor from November 2009 to July 2011.

John O'Keefe, CPA, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University at Albany, SUNY, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. John recently completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General, from the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School, which they attended from 2017 to 2018. John O'Keefe also holds the Argus Software Certification (ASC) (EMEA) from ARGUS Software, obtained in October 2017. In addition, they are a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certified by the New York State Education Department. John has also completed the Real Estate Financial Modeling for Excel - Level 3 course offered by Real Estate Financial Modeling.
