Jennifer Pavlik is a Community Engagement Librarian at Madison Public Library since November 2023. Previously, Jennifer served as a Library Media Technology Specialist for the Madison Metropolitan School District from July 2017 to June 2022, and as the Intellectual Freedom Coordinator at the Cooperative Children's Book Center, UW-Madison, where assistance was provided to librarians and teachers across Wisconsin in addressing book challenges. Jennifer's experience also includes roles as a Reference Assistant and Para-Educator in the Waunakee Community School District, as a Long Term Substitute Teacher and LMTC Director at Arboretum Elementary School, and as a Community Relations Assistant at Douglas County Libraries. Earlier teaching positions included first and fifth grade roles at St. Philip Neri School and a first-grade teaching position at Meadow View Elementary School in Oconomowoc Area School District. Jennifer holds a Master of Arts in Library and Information Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the same institution.
