Larry Bowling

Larry Bowling has over three decades of experience in maritime safety and technical services. Currently serving as Director of Marine Safety and Standards and Director of Maritime Technical Services at Maersk Line, Limited since June 2011, Larry previously held the position of Vice President of Global Security and Maritime Safety at Royal Caribbean Cruises, Ltd. from January 2010 to May 2011. Larry's earlier roles at Maersk Line included Director of Technical Organization, and significant positions within the U.S. Coast Guard included Chief of the Marine Safety Division in Portsmouth, VA, and Captain of the Port in Miami, Florida. Educational credentials include two Master's degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering, along with a Bachelor of Science in Ocean Engineering from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.
