Steen Sander Jacobsen

Steen Sander Jacobsen has an extensive career at Maersk Tankers, spanning from 1985 to the present. Currently serving as Technical Director Njord and Head of Fleet Technology since September 2019, Steen has previously held various leadership roles, including Head of Technology and Innovation and Head of Cost Leadership, where a significant Cost Leadership Strategy aimed at an 80 million USD impact was developed and implemented. Steen's prior experience includes being Fuel Optimization Manager, where efficiency processes resulted in an annual gross impact of 100 million USD, and as Chief Engineer, driving performance standards across the fleet. Additionally, Steen supervised new vessel construction in China and has sailed as both Chief Engineer and Marine Engineer. Education includes studies at Svenborg Maritime School from 1985 to 1990.
