David Hunt

David Hunt is an accomplished professional in logistics and operations, currently serving as the Area Head of Operations for Maersk Contract Logistics in Southern Africa and Islands since May 2022, following roles as Manager Fulfilled by Maersk Solution Design and Region CL Solutions Engineer. Prior experience includes a position as Senior Logistics Engineer at DSV from January 2017 to April 2022, focusing on logistics engineering and solution design. David also possesses a distinguished athletic background as an Olympic athlete with Rowing South Africa, achieving multiple medals in international competitions from 2011 to 2016, including participation in the Rio Olympics. Additionally, David gained early engineering experience through internships at Robor Steel Services and Momentous Energy while studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Pretoria, where a Bachelor of Engineering degree was conferred in 2016.
