Brandon Carmody

Brandon Carmody has a strong background in frontend engineering. Brandon is currently working at MaestroQA as a Frontend Engineer II since March 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Slickdeals for three years, starting as an Associate Frontend Engineer in August 2019. Brandon then progressed to a Frontend Engineer I role, where they collaborated with different product verticals to deliver new features and update existing code. Brandon also contributed to the development of an in-house front-end framework using JavaScript/TypeScript and Twig/PHP. In their last role at Slickdeals, as a Frontend Engineer II, they focused on front-end platform support, including developer tooling and enablement work for product teams. Brandon successfully re-architected the legacy ad-stack platform with modern and extensible JavaScript/TypeScript. Throughout their time at Slickdeals, they demonstrated leadership skills by leading front-end team objectives.

Brandon Carmody completed their high school education at Evergreen High School from 2012 to 2016, receiving a diploma. After high school, they attended Four County Career Center from 2014 to 2016, where they studied Software Design & Web Development as part of a vocational program. Following this, Brandon pursued higher education at Champlain College from 2017 to 2019, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Web Design & Development. During their time at Champlain College, they obtained additional certifications, including a Web Design certificate and a Software Development Certificate in 2018. Brandon also obtained certifications in HTML5 Application Development Fundamentals and Software Development Fundamentals (C#) from Microsoft in 2015. Most recently, in 2021, Brandon obtained the Certified Scrum Developer (CSD) certification from the Scrum Alliance.
