Ingrid Shipton

Ingrid Shipton has over a decade of experience in various roles related to cybersecurity, risk management, and business development. Ingrid is currently working as the Lead for Cybersecurity Risk and Compliance at MAG Aerospace, where they lead initiatives to achieve DoD's Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC). Prior to this, they served as the Managing Director of the U.S. office of Eminent Risk Management Group Ltd. At Kryptowire, they worked as the Director of Strategic Initiatives and Compliance Manager, where they supported revenue enhancement efforts and managed the implementation of GDPR-aligned data protection controls. In previous roles at CyberRx and Wapack Labs, they held positions such as Director of Cybersecurity and Managing Director of Cybersecurity, respectively, where they were responsible for business development, risk assessments, and project management. In addition to their work experience, Ingrid has also worked as a self-employed writer, specializing in cybersecurity communications and proposals. Earlier in their career, they held positions at Axxum Technologies, Inc., VeriSolv Technologies, and Deloitte Consulting.

Ingrid Shipton has a Master of Science (MS) degree with a specialization in Management of Secure Information Systems from George Mason University – Costello College of Business, obtained between 2012 and 2013. Ingrid also holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from Elmira College with a major in French and German and a minor in Economics. In addition, their educational background includes studying Linguistics at Temple University, and they have attended Sciences Po and Université Paris-Sorbonne, although specific degrees or fields of study are not mentioned for these institutions.
