Joseph Tavares

Joseph Tavares is an experienced executive in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors, currently serving as Senior Vice President of Magellan Rx Specialty since 2013, where responsibilities include business development, product strategy, and P&L performance for the Specialty Formulary division. Prior roles at Magellan Rx included Vice President of Pharmaceutical Strategies and Contracting, overseeing rebate contracting and specialty pharmacy access, as well as Vice President of Managed Markets Solutions, focusing on payer partnerships and quality improvement initiatives. Previously, Joseph held several leadership positions at sanofi-aventis from 2000 to 2013, including Director of Oncology Market Access and Director of Corporate National Payer Accounts. Joseph Tavares earned an MBA in Finance from Fordham Gabelli School of Business and a BS in Marketing from the University of Rhode Island.
