Jonathan Kaplan

Jonathan Kaplan's work experience is as follows:

- Chief Operating Officer, Americas at Magic Software Enterprises since September 2019. Jonathan oversees all operations in the Americas, including finance, HR, legal, sales, professional services, and marketing.

- Co-Founder and CEO of PowWow Mobile (acquired by Magic Software) since September 2018.

- Co-founder and CTO of PowWow Inc from July 2012 to September 2018.

- Architect at Open Wonderland Foundation from February 2010 to January 2016. Jonathan led the technical team working on the open-source Open Wonderland project and managed a group of contributors.

- CTO and Lead Developer at WonderBuilders, Inc. from February 2010 to July 2012. Jonathan co-founded the company, provided consulting and support for the open-source Open Wonderland 3D virtual world toolkit, developed custom worlds and modules for customers, and established the technical infrastructure.

- Various roles at Sun Microsystems, including Architect for Project Wonderland at Sun Microsystems Laboratories from November 2007 to February 2010, Researcher at Sun Microsystems Laboratories from August 2003 to November 2007, and Developer for Systems Management Software from July 2000 to August 2003. Jonathan played key roles in developing open-source software, improving the usability of distributed meetings, and designing and leading development of system management solutions.

Jonathan Kaplan has a strong educational background in computer science and engineering. Jonathan obtained their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, studying from 1996 to 2000. Jonathan continued their studies at the same institution and obtained their Master's degree in Computer and Information Science in the year 2000.
