Jan Knopp

Jan Knopp is a Principal Researcher at Magik Eye since October 2016, focusing on solving challenges in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and Computer Graphics to enhance 3D depth sensing. Prior to this role, Jan served as an AI Consultant at GoodAI Applied from August 2016 to January 2018, where responsibilities included conducting feasibility studies and implementing AI solutions. As a Senior Research Scientist at GoodAI from January 2015 to July 2016, Jan contributed to research on artificial general intelligence, exploring brain functions and developing methods to emulate human behavior. Jan gained valuable experience through research internships at Princeton University and Inria, École normale supérieure, specializing in computer graphics and computer vision, respectively. Jan holds a Ph.D. in Engineering Science from KU Leuven and a Master’s Degree in Artificial Intelligence from Czech Technical University in Prague.
