Peter O'Regan has a wealth of experience in various engineering roles. From 2010 to 2017, they worked as a Power and Energy Systems Graduate Research Assistant at Purdue University, where they developed dynamic system-level design models for wound-rotor synchronous generators, designed and constructed power electronics modules, and designed and prototyped novel generator excitation systems. From 2008 to 2010, they were an Undergraduate Researcher and Conference Co-Chair at Tufts University, and in 2009 they were an Analytical Development Intern at Vertex Pharmaceuticals. In 2017, they were a Senior Power Systems Engineer at General Dynamics Electric Boat, and from 2019 to 2022 they were a Motor Design Engineer at Indigo Technologies. Currently, they are an Electromagnetics Engineer at Maglev Aero.
Peter O'Regan has a varied educational background. Peter obtained a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University in 2010. Following this, they pursued a Graduate Certificate in Hybrid Vehicle Systems and an MSChE in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University in 2011 and 2013, respectively. In 2013, they also obtained a Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer from NI (National Instruments). Finally, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University in 2017.
