Jessel Villaruz

Jessel Villaruz, CPA, currently serves as Payroll Lead at Magna International since April 2023. Prior to this, Jessel held roles at Sernova Corp. as a Senior Financial Accountant and Financial Accountant from January 2022 to March 2023. At Genesys, from July 2021 to November 2021, Jessel was Payroll Manager for the APAC region, overseeing payroll processing across 14 countries and leading a team towards automation and process improvements. Jessel's extensive experience includes significant contributions at The Coca-Cola Company in various payroll roles, including Payroll Delivery Lead for North America and Payroll Accounting Lead for APAC, where responsibilities ranged from payroll processing to compliance and audit coordination. Previous positions also include roles at TEEKAY SHIPPING PHILIPPINES, INC., McKinsey & Company, and SSI Group, Inc., focusing on financial management and internal auditing. Jessel holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Adamson University.
