Garrett Yee is a Product Development Engineer at MagnaFlow since June 2021, specializing in cross-functional collaboration for successful product launches and applying DFMEA and DVPR design methodologies in research and development. Previously, Garrett served as an R&D Engineering Intern, where a team developed an electronic exhaust valve, projecting a $1 million gross margin for the new product. During an internship with the SDSU Industrial Assessment Center, Garrett conducted energy efficiency audits in manufacturing plants and provided assessment recommendations. As an Undergraduate Research Assistant at San Diego State University, research focused on the flash sintering powder metallurgy process, utilizing LAMMPS and OVITO software for simulations. Garrett also contributed to the Aztec Baja team, designing and building off-road buggies for SAE competitions, employing SolidWorks for mechanical design. Garrett holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from San Diego State University, obtained in 2021.
