Usman Hafeez

Usman Hafeez has a diverse work experience in the financial and accounting sectors. Usman began their career as an Audit Associate at EY in 2015, where they gained experience in external audits and internal control evaluations. Usman then worked as an Audit Associate at Grant Thornton - UAE in 2016, where they analyzed audit procedures and risks and performed test controls and substantive procedures for clients.

In the same year, Usman joined Abu Dhabi Islamic Merchant Acquiring Company as a General Accountant, responsible for GL account support and annual budgeting. Usman later became a Supervisor in Account & Finance at the same company, overseeing merchant pricing mechanisms, financial statement delivery, and VAT submissions to authorities.

Most recently, Usman is currently serving as the AVP - Financial Reporting & Control at Magnati. In this role, they led the deregistration and re-registration of VAT for First Abu Dhabi Bank and collaborated with various departments to implement internal controls and policies. Usman also reviewed financial entries and reports, identifying discrepancies and streamlining inconsistencies.

Usman Hafeez completed their Bachelor of Commerce - BCom degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of the Punjab from 2010 to 2013. Following that, they pursued the ACCA certification in Accounting and Finance from 2012 to 2015.
