Charmaine Chetty

Charmaine Chetty has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Most recently, they served as the Head of Human Resources at Magnet since October 2020. Prior to that, in 2019, they took a planned career sabbatical to focus on personal objectives such as health and well-being, continuous learning, and skill enhancement.

Before their sabbatical, Charmaine worked at Smith & Nephew as the HR Director for the Middle East and Africa region from January 2019 to June 2019. Charmaine also held the position of HR Director for Sub Saharan Africa at Smith & Nephew, where they led a team of HR professionals and contributed to the development and implementation of HR strategies and processes from December 2014 to December 2018.

Earlier in their career, Charmaine held the role of Human Resources Head - Coastal & Inland Business Unit at Nedbank from September 2007 to November 2014. Charmaine also worked as an HR Business Partner at Standard Bank Group from September 2006 to December 2007 and at Metropolitan from September 1990 to September 2006.
