Tom Sherwood

Tom Sherwood oversees business development and investor relations activities globally at Magnetar.

Tom joined Magnetar in 2013 from Barclays Capital, where he was a Managing Director in Fixed Income Sales. He was responsible for managing relationships across a range of institutional clients with a focus on credit markets, derivatives, and structured products. He joined Barclays in 2008 as part of the acquisition of Lehman Brothers, where he worked in the same capacity beginning in 2004. Prior to joining Lehman Brothers, Tom spent 9 years at Merrill Lynch in both sales and trading roles across a number of fixed income markets including structured credit, interest rate, and municipal derivatives.

Tom earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Economy with honors from Princeton University and a Master of Business Administration from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
