Olivia Burek

Olivia Burek has a diverse work experience that spans from 2016 to 2021. Olivia started their career as a Marketing and Catering Management Intern at Symons General Store, Inc. in 2016, where they learned social media management and email marketing. In 2017, they had various roles, including a Marketing Research Intern at the City of Houghton, a Librarian at Bay View Association, and a Marketing Intern at Encore Financial Group. During these positions, they gained experience in survey development, data analysis, graphic design, and problem-solving marketing campaigns.

In the same year, Olivia also joined the American Marketing Association at Michigan Technological University as the Vice President. This role provided their with real-world marketing experience, working on marketing plans and recommendations for other clubs on campus. Additionally, the club adviser assigned projects from esteemed clients.

Olivia further expanded their experience in 2017 as a Volunteer Project Manager at Blue Marble Security Enterprise. Here, they managed a team of engineers for a project sponsored by Georgia Pacific, engaging with key stakeholders and overseeing project risks.

Olivia continued their involvement at Michigan Technological University, working as a Student Ambassador for the School of Business and Economics from 2016 to 2018. In this role, Olivia participated in outreach events and brainstormed ways to improve outreach efforts.

From 2018 to 2020, Olivia worked as a Marketing Communications Specialist at The Reynolds and Reynolds Company. Their responsibilities included managing projects for product marketing campaigns, communicating with cross-functional stakeholders, and planning marketing strategies.

Most recently, Olivia joined Magnetic Mobile in 2021 as a Project Manager.

Olivia Burek pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Marketing from Michigan Technological University, graduating in 2018. Their field of study focused on Marketing and Management. In February 2021, they obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
