Taylor Laforge is an Associate at Magnusson Klemencic Associates. Prior to joining Magnusson Klemencic Associates, Taylor worked as a Facilities Engineering Intern at GE Aviation and as an Undergraduate Researcher at Virginia Tech. In their role as an intern at GE Aviation, they assisted in maintaining and improving the structural integrity of the GE Aviation campus in Evendale Ohio. Her goals while at GE Aviation were to develop a qualitative understanding of the structural engineering field, to become familiar with regulations, codes, and project organization, and to gain hands-on design and analysis experience on new as well as retrofit projects. As an Undergraduate Researcher at Virginia Tech, they assisted in doctorate research on the cyclic behavior of cold-formed steel members and created Matlab routines to collect initial imperfection data of CFS studs using photogrammetry data. Prior to their time at Virginia Tech, Taylor worked as an Engineering Intern at FDH Engineering, Inc.
Taylor Laforge has a Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Virginia Tech. They are certified as a Professional Engineer in the state of California and a Structural Engineer in the state of Illinois.
