Brian Spiegel

Brian Spiegel has worked in the tech industry since 2000. Brian began their career at Yahoo! Inc. as a Software Engineer on the Yahoo! Mail team. During their time there, they were the primary engineer on the Delivery and Anti-spam Team, responsible for 250+ inbound mail transfer servers and 1300+ outbound servers. In 2003, they moved to Jdate (Spark Industries, Inc.) as a Software Engineer, where they supervised and implemented a full rework of their email servers from Microsoft Exchange to a Debian Linux qmail-based infrastructure. Brian then joined Xoom Corporation in 2004 as a Software Engineer, working on backend data processing, internal and 3rd-party ledgering and reporting, and 3rd-party API and payment processing integrations. In 2007, they moved to Bebo as a Senior Engineer - Viral Marketing & International. Brian then joined AnythingSocial, Inc. in 2011 as a Senior Software Engineer, where they were frequently contracted with multiple customers, managing development of solutions from concept to marketable product. In 2019, they joined MilkRun as an Engineering Consultant, consulting on engineering strategy for planned product expansions and implementing key product additions, tools, and user experience enhancements. Most recently, in 2022, they joined MAGPIE as the Principal Engineer and Technical Lead, where they are defining the technology roadmap and architectural vision, driving development efforts to greater assist their clients and strategic partners, and overseeing external technical resources.

Brian Spiegel attended the University of Michigan from 1995 to 2000, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering.
