Ákos Buzás

Ákos Buzás has a strong background in finance and data analysis, with a focus on telecommunications. Ákos began their career as a Financial Analyst at T-Mobile in 2002, where they gained experience in data warehousing, SAP BW, SQL, and VBA. During their time at T-Mobile, they built the company's first multidimensional Business Planning System and designed automated reporting solutions.

In 2007, Ákos joined Telekom HU, where they held several leadership positions. Ákos served as a Senior Controlling Manager at the Consumer Business Unit, managing financial planning and analysis and developing business intelligence solutions using IBM Cognos tools. Ákos then became a Senior Controlling Expert and Team Leader, leading the CFO Business Intelligence Project and constructing multi-dimensional business planning systems and dashboards.

From 2013 to 2016, Ákos served as the Head of the Corporate Controlling Department at T-Systems Hungary, managing the corporate FP&A function and leading a team of 10 experts. Ákos also served as the Head of Cost Controlling from 2016 to 2020, leading a team of over 25 people and forecasting and reporting indirect operating expenses.

Most recently, Ákos held the position of Digital Finance Product Owner and, as of July 2021, they have been the Head of the Data Science & Visualization Center of Expertise at Telekom HU. In this role, they lead a highly professional team of experts in data science, business intelligence, and automation, focusing on the domain of finance. Ákos manages digital projects for automating business processes and creates data analyses and visualizations using Power BI for complex use cases.

Ákos Buzás has a Master's Degree in Finance from Corvinus University of Budapest (2003-2005). Ákos also has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Lincoln (1998-2002), as well as a BA Degree in Finance (Banking & Financial Institutions, Corporate) from the College of Management and Business Studies, Budapest (1998-2002). Additionally, they pursued a short-term course in Data Science at KÜRT Akadémia in 2021. In 2023, they are planning to complete a program in Front-End Web Application Development with Angular and Typescript at Cubix Institute of Technology.
