Gyorgy Szilagyi

Gyorgy Szilagyi has over three decades of experience in telecommunications, currently serving as the Transport Networks Tribe Lead at Telekom HU since January 2010, with responsibilities extending to the SNOC since October 2019. Prior roles at Telekom HU include Head of Core/Control Network and Head of Core/Control Development Branch, where significant contributions were made to the development of Hungary's leading telecommunications core and multimedia services. Previously, Gyorgy held positions at Magyar Telekom, managing operations for PSTN and NGN technologies, and was a project manager for the world's first IMS system in a wireline network. Early career experience includes serving as a senior support engineer at Matáv / T-Com, focusing on the digitalization of Hungary’s telecommunications network, and as a technician at Magyar Posta. Gyorgy holds an Engineer's degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Széchenyi István Egyetem.
