Asma Khapra, MD, AGAF

Asma Khapra, MD, AGAF is currently a Shareholder at Gastro Health since November 2019. Asma is also the Founder and Chair of the Women in GI Network, where they have successfully developed a board of women to lead this initiative with a focus on supporting and advancing women in Gastroenterology since January 2021. Asma Khapra, MD, AGAF completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology, majoring in General Biology, from The Johns Hopkins University in 1996. Asma then went on to earn their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 2000.

In 2007, Asma Khapra obtained their Gastroenterology Board Certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine. Asma also obtained their Virginia Medical License from the Virginia Board of Medicine in the same year.
